KCC Bank is a leading Central Co-Operative Bank in the state, is all set to celebrate centenary year during 2016. Diwan Bahuddur Shantaveerappa Menasinakayi and Rao Bahaddur Rudragouda C Aratal have taken lead role in establishing the bank on 23-11-1916 under Reg no. 1258, at Dharwad. Initially bank started with 41 individual share holders and 71 Co-Operative societies with modest working fund of Rs.30 thousand. Bank is celebrating 26th October every year as founders day. The Bank is famously known as GADIYARA Bank/CLOCK Bank in entire north karnataka.

Foundation stone of the new building of the Bank was laid by Sri Morarji R Desai, Chief Minister of Bombay State, on 02.10.1954. The Bank Head office building was inaugurated on 26th October 1956 by Shri. Jayachamaraja Wadeyar, Raj Pramukha of Mysore. Bank celebrated Golden Jubilee on 10th January 1966. The Golden Jubilee function was inaugurated by Smt Indira Gandhi, then Prime Minister of India and precited over by Sri.S Nijalingappa, then Chief minister of Mysore state.

Now bank is operating in three potential districts of North Karnataka – Dharwad, Gadag and Haveri through 44 branches with head office at Dharwad. All 44 branches are working on CBS platform extending RTGS and NEFT etc., facilities. Apart from above, bank is extending crop insurance, Yashashwini scheme, Prime minister suraksha vima yojana, Prime Minister Jeevan jyoti vima yojana, Atal Pinchani scheme and personal accidental insurance scheme to all eligible customers. Bank is extending crop loan to farmers at zero percent through 550 PACS in all three districts. Apart from above bank is extending Agriculture term loan at 3% and other schemes announced by State Government. Bank is extending credit facilities to SHG 4% and joint liability groups at 14%. Bank financial position is improving year by year. The CRAR is 10.82% as on 31-3-2015 and net NPA is 0.66%. The share capital and reserves of the bank has crossed Rs.76 Cr as on 31-03-2016. With assistance of NABARD bank has established PACS Development Cell at Head Office in order to improve the financial and viability position of Primary agriculture co-operative societies functioning. Bank has also established Financial Literacy Cell in all the three districts to promote financial literacy. Shri. Mallikarjun A Horakeri, President, and Shri. S.Y Patil, Vice president of the Bank with co-operation of other director’s are taking the bank in right direction to fulfil the dreams of the founders, aspirations of well wishers and needs of the customers
